"I missed the way your mind works. How you’re willing to make the difficult decisions few people are willing to face, the ones that cost a piece of your soul. How you suffer no hesitation acting on those decisions, despite their price, and each time you hit breaking point, you come up with a new way to put yourself back together again. How you never stop caring, no matter how badly the world treats you, and bloody hell, this world has treated you abominably. How, despite the war you eternally wage between your brain and your heart, you possess the finest of both intellect and emotion I’ve ever seen. You dazzle me, Dani O’Malley. You bloody fucking dazzle me. Top or bottom?"
This book was OK. It felt a little anticlimactic to me. We have been waiting for Dani to grow up and now she is. And we have both main charactes running around and acting like children again....... So glad we took multiple books to get here. I am curious as to what will happen next in the series.
This book passed every possible rating from 1-to 4 stars.
I won't lie, halfway through, I was thinking that it would have been better to have the story finish with Feversong; and Feversong left me a sobbing mess.
The problem with the book was that the storyline has finished, but the readers needed to have Dani's happy ending, so mrs Moning found herself in a situation where she basically had to write a romance.
This is not as good as Feversong, to be honest in several points it seems more like a fanfiction and the style of writing is very different than the style used for the Fever serie that overall is very consistent.
On the bright side it gives the readers what they wanted.
I would say that the first 50% pf the book is a 2.5 stars, with a downfall in the middle that was plainly bad, I was so tired of the unnecessary drama that was threatening to lengthen the Dani/Ryodan for several other unnecessary books.
I liked the ending, it was what I wanted. Maybe better.
More like a the 10th book it feels like a companion book, but I think that was the intention of the author, it is probable that the other books will be about other characters. The Fever universe has still things to tell.

I am sad to give this one star, but it was not good at all.
