Read as an audiobook! I liked this, I love her writing style and the narrator (Nicole Lewis) is fantastic. It was funny and messy and realistic, truly feels like slice of life storytelling and I could relate to a lot of the aspects of being in college and living in a dorm. Kiley Reid is a master of unlikable characters that you still like because they are unintentionally hilarious while being horrible people.

honestly i have a good deal of problems with this book- i'm okay with a less traditional structure but it felt like something intense was brewing from right out the gate but it doesn't actually result in anything until right near the end; while I thought a lot of the side characters were actually really fleshed out and human the main three felt a little flat, etc etc. but despite that the feeling of pure dread that crystallized to a point in my ribcage during the later chapters was undeniable. i don't know something about it just struck me

While I really enjoyed the writing and the way the book captured the social intricacies of dorm life, it didn’t do much more for me than that.

Man, am I glad undergrad is long behind me and I don’t live in residence anymore.
