Wasn’t super taken by this book. I wasn’t that interested in any of the relationships between the characters. I felt disappointed because I like Such a Fun Age so much

Unlikeable characters but a good intriguing read. I was 60% through the book before I realised this book neither had a plot nor revolved around money - but again, I was entertained 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve seen mixed reviews for this one and I’m so glad I decided to go ahead and read it anyways. This is your reminder to take reviews with a grain of salt. You might really enjoy a book despite how others may feel.

Some say it is slow & not much happens, but I didn’t feel that way at all! This book sucked me in from the beginning.

We follow Millie who is an RA in a dorm at the University of Arkansas. She soon meets Agatha who is a professor on campus.

The story begins with a string of every day interactions that Millie has with her residents, co-workers & Agatha. It eventually builds to an event that shakes everything up. Throughout the story there is commentary on sexuality, race, money & class. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one!

(3.5) Not quite as good as Such a Fun Age but still held my interest.
