This was so sweet! The friendship between Marjorie and Wendell is so wholesome, though I wish the book were longer so I could see them together more. (I guess that’s what the sequel is for!) I do think the characterization of the villain character leaned a bit too heavily on fatphobic stereotypes. But more than anything, though, I loved the art style. Anyone who likes Tillie Walden’s work would definitely like this. Truly stunning, so much so that I wish I’d been able to read it in print instead of as an ebook.
