I had heard this was a must read book so decided to read. 50 pages, even 100 I was stumped as to what the hype was about. I was bored and did not see that this was for me, but every review said I must continue. The reviews were right!!
This turned out to be an absolutely enthralling thriller. Some parts were quite graphic and disturbing, so little warning there. Overall I became really invested in characters and the story and am so glad I pushed on.

Read with caution as some parts are pretty graphic and may cause you to hurl your guts out

I have not been engrossed in a book this much in a long time (especially a 580+ page book!) I initially got it as an audiobook for a recent trip and heard the first 50 or so pages. While interesting, I didn't see what all the "buzz" was about. I decided to continue reading, since I'm definitely a visual person. After page 100, I was hooked, and it kept getting better. Whenever you thought things were going one way, another twist would occur. It's also crazy that the main "mystery" of the book is solved with 100 pages to go, yet those 100 last pages are just as compelling and set the stage nicely for book 2. I also enjoyed the setting of Sweden. I definitely recommend this if you have a couple solid days of time to read and can ignore your family, job, responsibilities, etc. :)

Romanul a fost ecranizat sub numele "The girl with the dragon tattoo".
