About 90% in I wanted to instantly hate this book because I knew kinda where it was headed.
I wanted to take stars off because the ending just isn't sitting right with me.
Book hangover and then some, but then I realized that is what makes it such an amazing story.
Reeve is every bit of angsty, consuming, alpha, and mysterious that I love in my book boyfriends.
And Darcy is everything a strong female lead needs to be.

⭐️ What. The. F. Did. I. Just. Read???? I’m….. confused? Not a fan. And now I’m disturbed. I need to go look at pictures of puppies and kittens or something. Seriously, what in the holy hell?? 2 stars because it WAS well written. But….. yeah.

I honestly saw that coming in a way. Not exactly how I thought it was gonna play out and end. It's so hard to leave a review on this book without giving away any spoilers.. Go in blind, make sure you play attention so you don't miss anything that's all I really can say.

OMG! WTF did I just read? I am legit still trying to figure it out still! Right from the beginning you are asking WTF? And then not too far in I really started questioning my sanity...... and it didn't stop! Yes this man is quite dirty and will make you question all values you think you have! I will say this.... as you start to get to the end.... make sure you pay close attention so you do not miss a thing! I think I may be having to go back and re-read the last few chapters.... or maybe just the whole darn book! Definitely worth the read.... and even a re-read. It doesn't exactly end on a cliffhanger..... but I could still do with a whole other book with the adventures of Darcy and Reeve!

Ok, it is REALLY hard to review this book and not give away spoilers but holy hell did this book mess me up! It is a well written suspense, dark, romance. It is sad but not a tearful sad book.. Just sad because of all of the stuff the characters go through. It is totally messed up and I seriously do not know how authors write this stuff. The warning I will give us that if you are looking for an HEA look elsewhere. There may be triggers for some due to abortion, abuse and homelessness. I'm simply distraught after reading this book. I have no other words.
