Apparently 2024 is my year of septuagenarian crime solvers. Agnes Sharp doesn't rank as high as Thursday Murder Club or How to Solve Your Own Murder for me.

For the first quarter of this book, I kept thinking all the quirky people with the vague secret work history living in Agnes' house were imaginary. I liked Hettie the turtle and Brexit the dog a lot but I don't think I'll seek out the second book in this series.

Die App ist beim Schreiben der Rezi abgestürzt, darum jetzt nur in Stichpunkten.

Was mir gefallen hat:
- die Prämisse des Buchs
- die Auflösung, wer Täter*in war

Was mir nicht gefallen hat:
- die Kapitel aus Agnes' Sicht
- die Abschnitte aus Hetties Sicht
- die Blassheit/Unausgereiftheit der meisten Figuren
- das Fatshaming
- Demenz als Stilmittel, weil das die Geschichte meiner Meinung nach unnötig in die Länge gezogen und verkompliziert hat. Bei einem "normalen" Roman hätte mir das wahrscheinlich gefallen, bei einem Krimi fand ich es fehl am Platz
- halboffenes Ende
