The audiobook reader Moira Quirk did a great job bringing these characters to life.

Interesting idea, messy execution.

This was a surprising read, being my first German translation I wasn't sure what to expect. Lots of plot twists, an awesome tortoise named Heddy and an engaging group of octogenarians living out their sunset years on their own terms made this such a wonderful story. I hope I can find more material by Leonie Swann!

Enjoyable plot and characters but I was confused most of the time, which I think was the point since the narrators were all 80+

Really not a fan of the murder-mystery genre but enjoyed seeing it through the perspective of a group of eccentric 'old hippies' who are really something.  Everyones an unreliable narrator
the clues towards who the murderer was became obvious about halfway but it was fun to see the characters try not to fall asleep/ forget what they were doing.
