Oh I love how Lóri insisted on going on a soul searching journey before she lets Ulisses in. And what I love even more is how the book ends right before he could answer her question.

i'll give miss lispector her 10s for many parts that had some really beautiful writing. the self actualization portion was cute too.. but for a man? meh couldn't be me bestie. idc if he's the sexy philosophy professor he just didn't rub me right with his mansplaining sorry

my first ever clarice lispector book that has successfully drove me into a state of existential crisis while also making me appreciate the little things in life whether it’d be today’s weather or just the tiniest little things really. pushed me into questioning my existence as a whole physically, mentally, spiritually and so much more. lóri’s fear resonated with my own fear so well that it felt like my intimate thoughts were exposed and splattered onto the pages. definitely will not ever be my last lispector book
