Kinda cute. The main character is mute due to a vocal injury and trauma, she does start to talk towards the end a bit when she learns to heal. I love how accepting her friends are of her and Sophia is great. The FF is why I read this book and they r cute. Adam is black, and wasn’t described in weird way, but I could still tell the author was white, but not in a racist way if that make scene. Cole is my favourite. No smut (good cuz they’re minors) but when they age up in book two, apparently there will be some steam.

The torture is a little graphic, more so than I’d have thought from this sort of book. It was surprising.
