This book has so many things happening!! And can I just say the romance is perfect and heart breaking. The ending isn't cliffhanger it's an ending. But I am still dying for the next one!!! Exited!

Reading this series for the second time and going through it way too fast because I forgot how much I love these characters and this world!

rating this 5 stars is simply a vast understatement, i prefer 5,000/5 :) this book was honestly even better than the first, and i think that had to do with that fact that i had already known the territory and fallen in love with the characters. little rosario was the highlight of the beginning of the book and as we got deeper into the journey there were parts where i truly felt like i was so giddy i was gonna have a heart attack

Way better than the first one! Elisa was so much more likable once she was given a real personality. I am actually excited to read the finale

eLISA MY FUC KIGN QUEEN WHAT BEAUTIFUL CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT HOLY SHI

Rae Carson's sequal to her Fire and Thorns trilogy, The Crown of Embers, was a little lack lustre compared to its predecessor, but still an emotional story. Elisa continued to be a moving character who you still felt personally attached to. She is truly becoming a magnificent queen, and I applaud her for her ability to make decisions under intense pressure. Coming to terms with her own feelings and responsibility was really worth it. Though this book could have been cut down as not a whole lot happened, I look forward to the third and final book to this trilogy!
