Very good book! Hard to tell what was fiction and what fact, he blended the two together so believably! I personally enjoyed the action scenes more than the geographical descriptions, but I’m glad they were there because I felt like I could so clearly see Africa as Dr. Ferguson did.
The beginning was a bit boring but set the scene for the rest of the story very well.
There are passages that are horribly racist that the book could definitely do without.

I read a few Jules Verne books and this book is the most boring one I read. One positive thing I can say about this book was that it was an easy and quick read.
