This was a pretty good thriller that kept me wondering what was going to happen next. Pick it up!

Intriguing enough to keep me reading ... but not a particularly original story.
Louise Jensen shows definite potential and I am interested in reading her future novels but [b: The Sister|8196732|Sister|Rosamund Lupton|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1320189763s/8196732.jpg|13043611] wasn't quite to my liking.
I enjoyed the pacing, the now and then alternating chapters (2 stories in 1!), and I thought that village life was well-shown here.
The story is told through Grace's voice and she is not the sharpest tool in the shed. Her stupidity / naïveté bordered on the unbelievable and I was quite surprised to find out that she
There are many sub-plots that are effective in creating tension. It is a shame that not all of them had a resolution and that I was a bit underwhelmed by the ones that actually did.
A fast, ok read.

This book was so predictable I felt I could have skipped every other chapter.
I thought the story line was 'meh' - I think I was just turned off by everything being glaringly obvious except to the main character of course.

It was fun to puzzle over who did what in this fast-paced mystery/thriller. I suspected everybody at one time or another (but why?) until it became pretty obvious. Entertaining debut novel.
3.5 stars. Page turner thriller for sure but pretty cliché. Overall fun read with plot twists you may or may not suspect.
Lost interest. Story flipped from then to now a lot and lost track of so many details.
