Amor Towles can do no wrong in my eyes, although this one did leave me feeling slightly impatient with where it was going at times.

Loved everything about this book! Storytelling at it's absolute best.

Really did not like the ending.

Really not sure how to feel about this one. The prose was good, the concept was solid, I enjoyed the characters. Something about it just didn’t fully add up for me like Rules of Civility & A Gentleman in Moscow did. Objectively a quite nice novel but in the light of Towles’ two other incredible novels, this gets a relative 3.25 from me.

enjoyed the atmosphere and found myself immersed, but not moved, by the indulgent writing & cliched characterization.
