Beautiful story, an amazing cast of characters. It is not something I would have ever picked up in a milllion years but I read it for an annotated book club and I absolutely fell in love with it ♥️

Dear The Lincoln Highway,
I am not sure what I was expecting from you, but I got more than I was expecting. You were deep and drawn out, but not in a bad way. There was an epic feeling to your cross country tale, and I loved being able to see the story from so many different perspectives. I loved your shifting narrators that gave your story such nuance and depth. Your themes of family and forgiveness and growing up so relatable and palatable. I want to read more of Towels stories after reading you.

God damn

Not only was this kind of boring, books where the characters make obviously misguided choices to the obvious detriment of others give me anxiety.

I'm not really sure how I feel about the end, but the entire book was wonderful. The author captured my interest from the start and I quickly felt deeply for all the characters. You're taken on this extraordinary journey and as I saw the story from all characters' point of view, I was equally absorbed. Fabulous book!

Beautiful book, love Towles

This book was absolutely amazing.

When I started this book I thought I was getting a cross country road trip from Nebraska to California. Oh but then we went in the wrong direction and ended up in New York.

Emmett has his own plans for him and his brother to start a new once he gets out of a juvenile work camp. Unknown to him Duchess and Woolly have other plans for him and send him in the wrong direction to New York after they run off with the Studebaker.

This book was a very good read. It might even be one of my favorite books I have ever read. Not a single page is boring or slow. Yes. All 576 pages will catch your attention. The book also reads faster than you would think.

I highly recommend this. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
