I have about 1/3 left and am just not enjoying this and have had to force myself to pick it up. It started out well enough. The more I read, however, the more annoyed I become. It's taking me forever to get through a book that is this short. I thought I'd be done with this in a few days, as the chapters are very short, but it just drags. Some good quotes but not worth the tedium of making it through just for random gems here and there. Disappointing. I was apprehensive going into this when I saw it compared to Sterne and Joyce. At least I can say I tried it!

I'll be thinking about this for a long time. The absurdism was refreshing. The number of allusions was a bit overwhelming. Hard to concentrate on. Loved the class commentary.
