i´ve had looking for alaska in my to - read pile for a year, and i finally decided to pick it up. i had no idea what the book was about - i only knew that miles "pudge" was moving to the culver creek bording school where he finally made some friends - before i started reading it, and it wasn´t until the end that i knew what the book was about. looking for alaska was definitely a good book, i liked all of the main characters: pudge, the colonel, takumi, alaska and lara. the writing was good and i wasn´t bored at any point of the book. if you can´t grasp what looking for alaska is fully about, i´d love to tell you - but i won´t, since it´ll be one huge spoiler ;)

I loved this book. It was funny and sad at parts, and actually made me think. I liked the bit of mystery it had, wondering how and why Alaska died. It was written really well and it made me cry like only John Green can.

This is another wonderful book by John Green. After reading it, I am honestly different. I read this right after [b:The Fault in Our Stars|11870085|The Fault in Our Stars|John Green|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1327880382s/11870085.jpg|16827462], and I am a changed person. I honestly value life more. This book addresses the very issues I struggle to wrap my mind around daily. They both provide the perfect stories to the pain that I feel; not pain that comes from anything direct, but pain that comes from living. After reading these, I honestly can't say I've came upon any enlightenments. None of my questions are solved. There is no way out of the labyrinth except for straight, but what is outside the walls?
