I think that Stiefvater got things back on track with this book after The Dream Thieves, and I really loved the introduction of some new characters and the development of new villains. I feel like there was so much character development in this book, particularily for Adam, which I feel like was much warranted.

I was absolutely shocked by Persephone's death, especially how Adam was able to see her ghost and talk with her. It does make me a little confused about seeing the souls of those who will die in the coming year on the soul road, as surely her soul would have appeared? I think that this should have been explained a little bit more than it was. I'm also a little confused about the timeline of things here as to when they say Ganesey's soul? I thought it was over a year ago now, but maybe it wasn't?

I feel as though Stiefvater has done a great job of building up to the final book and I cannot wait to see how things conclude.
