the only thing i enjoyed about this book was the last 3 chapters (though i didnt care for the epilogue). the rest of this book was extremely mediocre and i didn’t care 98% of the time

Bleh. Unlikeable characters, every single one of them. I don't even mean unlikeable in the good way where I love to hate them. I mean, they just had no personality, nothing. The story was all over the place. For being in the title, I thought Haru would be more present. By the end, I still didn't even quite understand who he was or if he was ever really there. Fortunately, I don't care and will just be moving on.

This book was so good. I honestly did not see the plot twist coming so I felt like my heart has been torn out. I cannot wait to read another book by Dustin Thao.
