I wanted so much to like this, but it just didn't work for me. The only three-dimensional things in this book are those origami pieces Haru makes. It gives you no space to care about the characters. Haru's there-again-gone-again routine is, I think, supposed to be mysterious, but it just seemed annoying and confusing. There is no structure to the story and the plot twists are unearned. This is honestly a slog to get through, especially with those paragraphs with five or six sentences with the same monotonous beats.
