I love books with the famous × less famous (or not famous at all) trope and the hidden identity trope so I obviously loved this book.
i love that her parents were so supportive of her picking her own boyfriend/husband and even were supportive of her dropping the boyfriend they arranged for her bc normally the parents in books with these tropes are mean when their child decides to date someone less famous
i feel so bad for charles because he seemed to genuinely like her and he just never had a chance. plus the downfall of his engagement was incredibly publicized so everybody knows that viv picked jace over him.
one thing i didnt like is how her miscarriage got brushed over like her pregnancy and miscarriage was the main plot for like 2 seconds only to be reduced to a miscommunication trope and then i feel like she never processed it or talked about it other than that one time.
