I'm going 3.75 stars, rounding up to 4.

Olivia Hayle is a new author to me, but I'm still on my holiday reading kick. For that reason, I'm finding all kinds of new authors.

Adam grew up across the street from Holly and was her brother's best friend. Growing up, she always had a crush on him. He disappeared after his family was shamed because Adam's dad was doing bad business dealings.

Now he's back in town and also a billionaire. Holly is back home for the holidays. So they re-connect as adults, and so the story goes.

A cute HEA, with some steamy parts and no true 3rd act breakup.

for me

I really like this book. It was the perfect length not too long and not too short. This would be a great read during Christmas time. I enjoyed the story and it was so cute. I really enjoyed it. Overall it wasn’t my favorite book ever or really good so I give it a 3/10. I might even come back to this during the holidays.

This book felt like reading a Hallmark movie so if that’s your thing I recommend! Not my thing but it was what I expected and worked for what I wanted to read at the time.

I really enjoyed this cute holiday romance. Holly is back home for the holidays. The bigger surprise is that her neighbor, Adam, is also back home. The catch is they haven't spoken in a decade. Holly has had a crush on Adam since she was a child but they couldn't do anything about it cause he was her brother's best friend. Adam is pretty much the Grinch and hates the holidays and Holly loves them. This was such a cute small town holiday romance.

A charming holiday read that brings together a grumpy billionaire who hates Christmas and his childhood best friend’s younger sister who loves Christmas.

Holly is happy to be back in her hometown for two weeks with her family to enjoy the Christmas traditions she loves. She is surprised to learn her brothers best friend Adam is back in town having bought his childhood home right across the street from her parents.

What starts off as a mission to convince Adam to put up Christmas lights on his home becomes so much more after they spend time together. This novel is as charming as a Hallmark holiday movie, but with more sizzle. The author captures the two very emotional reactions Adam and Holly have concerning the holidays. I enjoyed seeing the softening of Adam’s protective coating around his heart and emotions as he begins to fall for Holly.

This was such a very enjoyable read! I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Wenn man eine kitschige, aber schöne Geschichte sucht, um zu entspannen, dann ist das Buch genau das Richtige. Schöne, heile Welt mit Romantik, genau das Richtige für die Feiertage ✨
