Cute lighthearted romance book. Not my favorite Tessa Bailey book, but still really good.

This is the first time I read a Tessa Bailey novel and I thought it was an enjoyable read.

Secretly Yours is the first of a two-part A Vine Mess series about Hallie navigating her secret crush on Julian when he returns to town for the first time in four years. The romance was solid and at times swoonworthy (though I thought the spice in the book was a bit much). I enjoyed Hallie and Julian as MCs and I liked their character development throughout the book, especially with addressing Julian's anxiety in the book. Plus, you get a sneak peak into the MCs for Bailey's next book in the series, Natalie and August, and I am looking forward to the sequel.

I listened to the audiobook version on Audible and I thought that the audiobook version was good. Callie Dalton does provide a nice narration to the story and her pacing was solid. Though, I think she could improve on creating distinct voices for each of the characters (specifically for the male characters).

Nevertheless, I think Secretly Yours is a cute rom-com worth reading. If you want to read a rom-com set in beautiful vineyards or a romance full of pining and a relationship years in the making, I definitely would recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book I've been excited to read it for awhile it was a cute read i think the ending could've been better still enjoyable though this book is about the main character's Julian and Hallie i loved the fact that we got to meet August and Natalie in this book I can't wait to read there story in Unfortunately yours and there is secret love letters that Hallie writes Julian confessing to him her feelings that she's had for awhile some of the tropes in this book are Opposites attract, Small town romance, Grumpy x Sunshine and Second chance romance this book has a happy ending with no cliffhangers no love triangle and no cheating and also Hallie has her friend Owen who she likes only as a friend but Owen likes her more then a friend so there is jealousy between Julian and the side character Owen but nothing crazy it still had me giggling every time Julian got jealous i loved it this book is spicy not extremely spicy but
nonetheless spicy im not very good at reviews so I'll leave it at that👆🏽and overall i rated this book 4 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Meh. I think it's official that I don't love Tessa Bailey, and this plus It Happaned One Summer has proved that (lowkey surprised I gave it 4 stars looking back, because I don't remember loving much). She and her seriously copious amounts of steam are just not for me, and that's okay. I've got plenty of other romances to read…
