Ooh this book was fun and šŸŒ¶ spicy! My fav combo. I love a professor letting loose. It was fun how they came together and met. I loved the little town and their two worlds constantly colliding. I find the sister fantastic and now Iā€™m very excited for THAT book to come out! A quick fun read.

I thought this book was cute and it was definitely an easy read. I liked the fact that we werenā€™t dealing with barely 20 somethingā€™s and dealing with established adults. I also loved how Hallie was curvy and it was mentioned in the book but not something that was driven home because it wasnā€™t the most important thing about her. But there were some things that I felt were added that didnā€™t add to the overall story. Like Hallie being a virgin. That didnā€™t add anything at all to the overall progression of her and Julianā€™s relationship. The same thing couldā€™ve been achieved if she had been with two partners or twenty. I also donā€™t think that writing secret admirer letters is as big of a bad thing as it was made out to be.

CORNY, but donā€™t expect loads for Tessa Bailey at this point. It was fun, and there were cute moments, but it felt very fake in its sincerity at times.

Hallie is a the chaotic owner of Beccaā€™s Blooms whose had a secret crush for the last 15 years. And now that the crush is back in town, sending him a drunk secret admirer letter seems like the obvious choice.

Julian is a college professor who is ruled by strict times and schedules. He comes back to Napa, to the family vineyards, to take a reprieve from teaching to write a novel. One that keeps getting interrupted by an annoyingly intriguing gardener.

I really liked the banter and the ā€œdirty talkā€ but I felt like the story lacked a little bit of the depth that I really wanted from it.

Overall solid and Iā€™ll definitely read the next installment in the series.

I really liked this book, but I didn't comprehend much since my dog died suddenly 118 pages in. I'm sure it's great! Don't read if your dog recently died; there's just so many references to dogs. :/ (no dog deaths, I swear)

SPOILERS AHEAD LIKE I MEAN THE WHOLE THING

I enjoyed the book and all the characters however Iā€™m a hater at heart and hereā€™s what I donā€™t like.

I feel as thought Hallie was only a virgin to satisfy the kink some people have of fucking a virgin. It added nothing to the story or her as a character. Everything would of been the EXACT SAME if she had not been.

I also donā€™t think this is a second chance romance Hallie never had a chance in the first place Julian forgot about her seconds after their ā€œalmost kissā€

Her last name being Welch like after the juice company is for sure something.

Hallie OBSESSION with him after 15 YEARS is excessive to the greatest extent. Name characters more creatively and not just after a random plot point/ characteristic ( cough lily blossom bloom cough cough)

Now this isnā€™t a complaint itā€™s more of a hole he woke up from a almost 3 week mental nap and planned a HUGE party in hours?? if I am wrong please correct me. but i do believe that her and Owen were supposed to leave that after noon and julian came out of his room a few HOURS before her point of view of getting kidnapped by Lavinia.
