This enchanting book took me back to my childhood, when I felt most at home in the theatre, looked the most forward to rehearsal times and evening classes, recording sessions and script learning. It's a beautiful, heart-warming tale of teamwork, passion, heartbreak and happiness.

As a long time fan of Carrie’s books, I was so excited to see how she adapted to children’s fiction, and I was not disappointed! I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy and devoured it within a few hours.

Into the Spotlight is one of those books that simply fills you with joy, something we all need at this time. The characters are so relatable that I found elements of myself in every one of them, and the story is full of hope and a love for the theatre. I highly recommend this, whether you have read Ballet Shoes or not. You will not be disappointed!

I'm in love.
Honestly, I am in love with this story. I love the characters, their little theatrical world. I love the lore expansion of Ballet Shoes. The writing was amazing, everyone had their fair share of development and it was just a joy to get through.

I cannot wait to give my little cousin her copy for Christmas.

I really enjoy Carrie’s writing and i really loved the concept for this book but I found that the Pebble children talked like adults which sort of ruined the illusion for me. However I did enjoy this book I also loved the illustrations

Following one important summer of the Pebble siblings, they fight to save their home and go on a journey of discovery as they try to find their place in the world.

This book is full of wonder and joy and positive messages that, whilst aimed at children, can be applied to any stage of your life which, to me, is the marker of a great children's book!
