I'm seeing all these great review. And everyones entitled to their opinions. And this is mine.
****There may or may not be spoilers****
I hate giving this only 2 stars. I really do. I've been waiting anxiously for this book to come out and I'm saddened to say, this is by far the biggest disappointment this year.
The Goddess Test was on of the better books I've read. Period. I liked the story, the characters, and the plot. I like that what Kate and Henry had wasn't insta-love. The Goddess Interrupted fell slightly flat for me. The Goddess Inheritance completely disappointed me. There was NOTHING about it that I liked.
My first and the BIGGEST problem I had with this book was Kate. She wasn't the same strong, sassy and smart Kate we met in the Goddess Test. She completely pissed me off. Putting herself in stupid situations and always messing up. She acted without thinking and didn't even want to hear people out. She didn't want to listen to any ideas anyone was giving her. It was pointed out like 3 times in the book that she was being a martyr. Seriously, it got so fucking annoying. The bullshit part was that as much of a martyr that she wanted to be, people had to come in fix her fuck ups. She was so bitter towards Ava. She was so fucking emotional. It drove me crazy. Like bat shit crazy. Every single fucking page was her crying and crying and crying some freaking more!
She was a hypocrite. A BIG hypocrite. And that was one thing that threw me off. Ex: Kate was all for giving herself up to Cronus when she was "helping" but when Henry was giving himself up to Hera, she freaked the hell out.
She kept saying she wanted to fight and be treated like a Goddess but when the time came, she didn't want to act like a Goddess. She lied and kept things from Henry too. Which, as his wife, she shouldn't have.
You ever want something so much, then get so much of it you get tired of it? Yeah, that's exactly what happened here. There was so much action it was a cluster fuck. This was another aspect of the book I didn't like. It was BOOM, BOOM, BOOM action then it would draggggggggg on and BOOM action the dragggggg out.
This book starts out nine month after Calliope and Cronus kidnapped Kate. With her baby's life on the line, Kate must try to figure out what to do to save not only her baby but the rest of the Gods and herself.
I wasn't a fan of how this ended. I don't think this was a good ending to a series. There was nothing in the book that I liked. I know it sounds harsh, but it's true. Like I said before, The Goddess Test was such a great novel. Ms. Carter had a good vision and I DO think she's a good author. This novel just didn't do anything any justice.

Quick Review...for when I don't have a lot to say...
*Thank you to Harlequin Teen and NetGalley for providing an early copy of this book*
I quite enjoyed this final installment in the Goddess series. Carter does a good job of tying up any loose ends from the previous books. It was fun getting back into the Greek mythology. I really like the conflict that Carter created, because it's SO in character for the gods. I had no trouble believing that this could have happened.
I liked Kate and I liked Henry. I just didn't like them TOGETHER. I think they're one of the weaker couples out there. I bookmarked a specific scene in my galley, but lost the bookmark, so I can't quote it exactly. However, the gist was that they didn't need to actually tell each other they loved each other because their actions spoke louder than words. This may mark me as old-fashioned, but I believe saying it is important too. Maybe it's because I grew up hearing my parents and grandparents say it to each other. It bothered me that Kate and Henry were supposedly SO in love, but couldn't say the words.
For me, the best part of this entire series is James. He's fun, quirky, a bit naughty, and totally adorable. I loved his scenes the most of all. I'd love a spinoff series just about him (hint, hint).
Overall, while I enjoyed the book all right and will likely reread it again at some point, it was just a 3 Eiffel Tower book.

A nice ending to an amazing story. Liked it very much.
I didn't like this book although I understand Kate is upset the enormous amount of whining and crying in this book was frustrating.
