The author has many layers and thoroughly enjoyed the childhood and early adulthood. Found the name dropping chapters a bit tedious but she certainly has had an interesting life.

Fun listen. I found the more tabloidy bits to be a little off-putting but I enjoyed learning about her upbringing and her path to success.

Enjoyed hearing about her childhood.

I feel like I really went on a journey with this memoir. Fom Rebel aka Melanie's childhood as a shy, sweets obsessed kid, whose life revolved around the dog shows her parents were involved in, an early goal of being a rapper, another stint as candy entrepreneur, through her move to the U.S., late bloomer status and dating life, her rise to stardom, adventures galore, and finding self acceptance and happiness in the end. I really liked it! Felt very authentic and honest. Audiobook read by the author is always a plus!

I would’ve believed you if you would’ve told me she got her start in comedy schools and just went from there. Her story was so much more interesting than that with time in South Africa, ninja tournaments, becoming a lawyer, coming out late in life, and of course some celebrity behind the scenes. Really enjoyed this one and the audiobook was fun.
