This was ok. I didn't like it as much as the first book (almost home). Sometimes her writing is so gratuitously descriptive and gets in the way. Still, I couldn't put it down. What happens is in line with what I thought of the characters based on the first book, some of whom I disliked strongly!

Sometimes feels rushed, but a pleasant read

I've enjoyed other books by this author and had just finished the first book in this series when I discovered this sequel. Sometimes, the plot seems rushed and underdeveloped but overall it is a good book and makes for pleasant reading.

Hardly the thrill the cover quotes promised. Although it had potential it was pretty implausible with no genuine suspense. Apparently she is a best selling author so I may be missing something but it didn't do anything for me.

I liked this, but perhaps not quite as much as I liked her other books. It was a good fluff book, in some ways. I'm glad I read it.

That was not the sequel I was looking for.
