Picked this up straight after book 1 and it didn’t disappoint!
I went into this blind, didn’t really read the blurb. I’ve been doing that more and more and I’ve really been liking that.
I loved that this time around we were ‘down stairs’ with the maids and other servants. Effie was great, loved how angry she was, hearing her come backs to the ‘rich’ people in her mind and singing nursery rhymes to herself while she sews was very entertaining.
I loved Lord Blackthorn, he had a small part in book 1 but he amused me then and he amused me even more in this book!
Again, the book delivered whimsy and an excellent moral message. The epilogue was just brilliant, made me chuckle!

I read Half a Soul a few months ago and Ten Thousand Stitches is just as charming. These books are little palate cleansers. You can read them quickly, they are really enjoyable, cozy and sweet. I fell in love with Effie and Juniper. The prose is so beautiful and direct.

Cozy fantasy is a genre I didn’t know I could love, but I’m in love with it

it was an interesting concept of regency era fantasy. I won’t read any others in the series but I can see how it can appeal to some people.
