A solid cowboy romance with a lot of emotional depth. I think it's great seeing characters with real emotional maturity communicate throughout their relationship. The "enemies-to-lovers" is very short lived, and the timeline of the books is a bit insta-lovey. But I still enjoyed the characters a lot!

4/5 I mean pretty good straight to the point romance. I appreciate there was no dumb miscommunication trope when it came to city vs ranch. It was very wholesome how they both did something for the other in order for their dreams to come true. However I think the pacing was just a taddd too soon. Like he was wanting to get her pregnant realll soon. And I wish there was a big reveal of like Garrett her dad writing a letter about maybe wanting them to be together or something so it would feel more fated. Cash was just a tad much sometimes where it was slightly icky more than hot but not enough for me to not like him. I flew thru this book and am excited for Wyatts book with Sally! Left off on an intense note lol.
Spoiler summary:
After her dad passes, he left his ranch to his daughter Mollie, who mostly lived in Dallas with her mom and didn’t have the best relationship with her dad. His foreman, Cash was promised his ranch so he hates Mollie and thinks she’s entitled, and she thinks he’s rude. The stipulation is to receive her money, she needs to live and work on the ranch for at least a year. He thinks she won’t be able to do it but she quickly falls in love with the ranch and their community. He sees that she isn’t who he thinks she is and they start to flirt and fall in love. Then she has a breakdown over them wanting to make it work but she needs to be in the city for her boot business but loves the ranch. So when he goes with her to Dallas to meet her mom he pitches the idea to open up a storefront and studio on the ranch for her. So she cries and agrees and then asks to combine her ranch with his families failing ranch and he proposes.
