Saddle up! I've been dying to start this series and I finally broke down and just bought the damn book and I'm so glad I did! The anticipation, the growing attraction, the found family, ranch life, I loved it all.

Mollie grew up in Dallas but she just inherited her fathers ranch in middle of nowhere Texas. A stipulation in his will states that in order to get her inheritance, which she desperately needs to keep her cowboy boot business afloat, she must live at the ranch for one year. Millie hasn't been back to the ranch since her parents divorced so she is a little unhappy with the stipulation but she needs to do it to keep her business afloat.

There she meets Cash, the grumpy foreman who says that her dad promised him the ranch. Mollie and Cash don't start off on the best foot but their bantering turns flirtatious. Between the  deep conversations and line dancing at the local dive bar, they realize their first impressions were not correct and the attraction grows but what happens when Mollie leaves the ranch for her life back in Dallas?

I love insane will stipulations as a plot in books. They are always crazy and force the main character to do something completely out of their norm and it always works in the end. I would venture to say it's one of my favorite tropes.

There are cowboys and then there are COWBOYS and Cash was the second kind. Gah I really liked him and his cocky confidence, dancing skills, and possessive instincts when it came to Mollie. He went all cowboy caveman on her and it was so satisfying!

Mollie really was such a good character who really wanted to get to know the people on the ranch and see ranch life through her own eyes, and not her mothers perception of it. I'm glad she found her voice and how they fought to figure out how she could have a little bit of city and ranch life.

Yee Haw! I'm fully in my cowboy romance era and I'm loving it

Notes:
This book was bought at Plot Twist Books. My local independent bookstore in Illinois, nowhere near a ranch unfortunately but we do have a lot of cornfields. 😆

The dialogue was making me cringe and the plot was boring too.
