I’m OBSESSED with cowboy romances… like, truly obsessed. And Cash? He did not disappoint. He’s officially one of my favorites in the genre—no question about it.
The story had me hooked from the first chapter. For some reason, it gave me Hannah Montana “Hello New York” vibes—like I totally pictured Mollie showing up to the ranch completely unprepared for country life but owning it anyway. Iconic.
It also touches on a very personal theme for me: the absence of a father. I deeply related to Mollie, which made the whole story hit even harder.
And yes… I officially need a Cash in my life. Where do I find one?
Now the characters—
Mollie is this city girl who has to move to her father’s ranch to claim an inheritance. Sounds cliché? Maybe. But it was NOT what I expected. It totally exceeded my expectations.
And Cash... I can’t even. I’m not okay. He is my new book boyfriend and I’m not recovering anytime soon.
I gave it 4.5 stars because the ending felt a little too quick for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good happy ending—but I also love a little third act breakup, a little angst, some pain before the healing. These two were just… mature. And while that’s great, part of me was like: okay but make them suffer a tiny bit more, please?
Also... the brothers? Yeah, I can already feel myself falling down the rabbit hole. I might binge the whole series next.

A grumpy/sunshine cowboy romance. A weird stipulation in her estranged father’s will leads Mollie to living on Luck Ranch. She needs to stay on the ranch a year to gain her inheritance. That means butting heads with the grumpy cowboy forman Cash.

Not the Lyla Sage, but I did enjoy this one. Def more about the fact that, like, when you’re a cowboy on a farm you have to like, go work on the farm and herd cows and can’t just kiss people all day. Which was probably more realistic. Kind of made me want to be a cowboy if it wasn’t so hot in those cowboy states. Maybe I just want to go horseback riding.
