A twisty, turny road all the way through. Not gonna lie, this is a little too plot heavy for me. I had a pretty good time with it, but with so much to uncover, there's hardly any time for the story to breathe. Instead, there's a lot of explaining going on. Even during the final chapters. And there's a character that felt out of place at times. The Ghost. Like a Tarantino character in a Fincher movie? Something like that. Not a bad read, certainly not, but some things just didn't entirely work for me. Coben's sarcasm did. Well-dosed, this time.

first of all,

MY ADRENALINE IS PUMPINGGGG HARD.

this was sooo good. Harlen Coben, ily and need to read all your writings. i had just finished reading his book 'tell no one' at the beginning of march but wanted more thrills so I got this. i was 100% not disappointed. i read through the last 1/3 of the book so quick, all the events leading up the end were getting intense. the feeling of needing to keep reading, my heart pumping, excitement is what I wanted. it's an addicting drug and i can't wait to read more of his books in the future. this definitely got my boredom to be, "gone for good" ;)

Coban never disappoints me. His books are far-fetched, yet still believable. I never can guess the ending, which makes them a fun read. This book did not disappoint.

The best thriller I've read so far. This book made me hold my breath, made me cry and blew my mind a thousand times with the plots throughout the story. I cannot believe what I just read. My head is 🤯

Flat one dimensional characters, unbelievable plot, race to the end finish, twists/surprises that really weren't.
