Got super behind on my reviews and now I'm kind of forgetting. But it was FINNNEE, I like Harlan Coben for the most part but this one wasn't quite as gripping. Felt more stretching the possibilities. Though he certainly has a way of twisting even when you think the twists are over. Hope that's not a spoiler. I don't think it's a must read, but if you love his other books you'll like it!

“Sheila. Her betrayal pierced me deeply, struck bone. To defend her now, to think I had been anything more to her than a dupe, would be to turn a blind eye in the worst way. You would have to be naïve beyond Pollyanna, to have rose-tinted glasses melded onto your face, to not be able to see the truth.”
― Harlan Coben, Gone for Good

One of the books where you will think Happy Ending is here and then only your definition of happy handing will change. So gripping, brilliant. One of the novels I will caress for minutes after finishing.

I am so pleased with my first Harlan Coben read.

I fell in love with the main character, his girlfriend, and his family right from the start. A big twist came and I hoped for another improbable twist to bring the character back.

How many authors are capable of this in the first 20-30 pages?

The end was full of twist and turns as well. A very enjoyable read and I'm eager to read another Coben book.

Thanks, Vern!

This is the second Harlan Coben book that I read and really enjoyed. A real page turner with many twists and turns that keep you on edge, guessing, and reading on.
