This was good, but wasn’t quite as gripping as some of the other books I’ve read by this author. As usual though, the ending did surprise me in at least one way. Also, I enjoy the characters that pop up multiple times in different books.

Did not like the narrator - I will read it digitally instead

Meh. Very cliched and far fetched. Dragged a bit. Had some interesting twists, but I didn’t find it particularly engaging.

This is one of my favorite casual reading mystery authors but i didn’t enjoy this book. Maybe because it was written before 2003 a lot of the words used to describe people felt inappropriate. I think that ruined the experience for me.

Loved the beginning but it lost its luster towards the end. Decent read tho. This was my first book by this author, but I will try another one.

First book I’ve read where the main character had the last name of Klein. Definitely an enjoyable mystery. Had a similar vibe to the author’s Myron Bolitar series (likable main character, rich/resourceful best friend, bad guys that love being bad and occasional philosophical musings). All in all, a good mystery story.

Buzzword reading challenge for November: a book with a “good” in the title.

Harlan Coben has a weird obsession with writing about things that happened 10 or so years ago. Learn to move on my guy.

Also there’s MULTIPLE sections where he literally just lists what’s on the menu in a restaurant through the on-going inner monologue. Why?

This book was amazing, so many twists and turns I did not see coming. The book has a lot of violence, but I pushed that aside and I really enjoyed the story. This was my first Harlan Coben book, and I will definitely look for more.
