I listened to the (German) audiobook and yes, Too many characters. 😅 
It took me a long time to really understand Dublin’s entourage. The eating bored me. The nature descriptions were sometimes a little long, and some of the writing was a little clunky. 

I did like the case and now feel like traveling to the Bretagne in summer. Will continue (maybe not right away) with book 2. (Reviews of friends tell me the books get better)
