One of the reasons I liked this lovely picture book so much is that the language of the questions the two other kids asked changed as the main kid gave them answers. A wonderful demonstration of learning from your peers!

Its adorable and I really really love the drawings. They are super colorful and cute and I imagine them to be very appealing to children. I love the book itself as well. It gets to questions young kids with 2 gender parents would probably have when their friends have same sex parents and the childs response to how they are BOTH different and yet same when it comes to caring for him is just beautiful and true.

I really enjoyed this book, This book has an important message and the pictures are beautiful and so cute.

I Got this book from Netgalley for an honest review

A cute little story about growing up with two mommies. I had to read this book because it is so controversial, some people think that a child with parents of the same sex would be traumatized or something but this book shows that, that is not the case. In this book homosexuality is portrayed gently and so realistic with other kids asking questions about his mommies, it was very cute and sweet and i enjoyed every second reading it!

The idea of this book is fine, but the repetition of questions doesn't quite flow in some parts and I'm bothered by some elements of the illustrations. The main child appears Black, but has two White moms, which is confusing. The one Asian child is portrayed with slanted lines for eyes in every scene while the White and Black child have big round, open eyes throughout. This stereotypical representation is problematic.

This book is just as adorable as A Tale of Two Daddies! Full review on my blog.

Ngl, this was cute as hell

A beautiful little book that might help explain to young children, that having two moms is just the same as having a mom and a dad. The only critique I can give is the age recommendation on goodreads, where an age group of 4 to 8 is given. I would suggest to change that from 3 to 5, as the art and writing definitely target a very young audience.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the free review copy.

thank you netgalley for the arc in exchange for an honest opinion.
