As with the first one, it's an interesting world and concept, but I just don't think it's very well written. The style reminds me of "clever" creative writing classmates in college. I feel very disconnected from it stylistically. That said, I'll keep reading, since I'm somewhat invested in the journey, which is what gives it a 3 ⭐ from me.
