Truly such a beautiful story that I’ll always find myself thinking about in passing. I felt so immersed in the characters, the plot, and the themes and lessons highlighted in this book :) I love how each character, whether I liked them or not, brought something to the story and was very interesting to observe! Genuinely have no words to say about this masterpiece apart from the fact that I think a part of my soul will always be in this book, and that this is unlike anything I’ve ever read.
This is perhaps the most complete, perfectly crafted story I have ever read, and there is something for everyone. It is a prison break adventure and a story of French high society. It is a book that contains marked injustice as well as justice personified. There is love, betrayal, death, forgiveness, robbery, murder, family drama, faith, and most of all, hope!

This book was absolutely delicious. I was eating up the revenge plot like a beautiful feast. Every detail was so perfectly calculated and I was on the edge of my seat for most of the story. I loved the feeling of being confused by how a certain character or action fits into the plot only to have it completely pay off a few chapters later. I also loved how the Count treated all of these characters like pawns in his grand plan, even the ones that I genuinely liked. Albert was the only character that I was going to be sad to let go for the Count’s plan to work, but I absolutely loved his character development and how his arc ended. I was so satisfied with how everything turned out and everyone absolutely got what was coming to them one way or another (except maybe Edward but like fuck them kids). Noirtier was THE CHARACTER for me and I can see the influence he has had in other books and movies I’ve read. This may be the longest book I’ve ever read but the action, intrigue, and adventure made the life of Edmund Dantes fly by.
