I’ve never read a Mary Higgins Clark book (or a Carol Higgins Clark book, for that matter), and I’m not sure I really feel the need to read another. Entertaining and funny, but nothing really wowed me.

Another good book by the mother/daughter team. The storyline was not as interesting as some of their other Christmas capers, but it still held my interest.

I started reading Mary Higgins Clark in middle school, twenty years later I still enjoy her books. This one was a little predictable.

My first Mary Higgins Clark novel. I'm glad to see that this isn't one of her best.
This is one of her later novels, that she co-wrote with her daughter, Carol. Perhaps that had an effect on her writing? The story centers on a new cruise ship that is doing a charity sailing just after Christmas, including many Santa-impressionists. The big mystery is some missing santa costumes, the sighting of a man who looks like a dead criminal, and a few other minor things... Overall, the characters weren't that interesting (even though it seems like Regan appears in other MHC novels?), and I wasn't invested in the plot. There's a big "twist" at the end, that I didn't expect - mostly because it made the main characters seem pretty naive. There weren't any memorable quotes from this one.
Audiobook notes: The book was narrated by Carol, Mary's daughter - which seemed to fit well with the writing.
