A great piece of literature. However, it's one of the few books where I prefer the film over the written version.
The main characters were all quite interesting and I could easily identify myself with the protagonist, Todd.
Still, I would have liked to know more about the other characters (perhaps then I wouldn't have been so confused about who's who, haha).
The frequent switch of perspective left me confused as well, but I grew to like it after a while. Another thing I really liked about the novel was its main message: That you should live and not only exist, and that you should seize the day.

While "Dead Poets Society" was a rather short read, it was definitely impactful and the film is now one of my favourites.
Carpe Diem!

Well .... I didn't see that coming

We've read this book for school, and since we're a bit under time pressure, I finished it quite fast ig ... but I don't think that was the only reason for the end of it to feel rushed.
In my opinion there was not enough time to process everything that was happening so suddenly.

Another thing:
Metaphorically speaking, I have died of second-hand embarrassment multiple times while reading .
Some parts of the lovestories were just too much. I also didn't get why Chris just forgave Knox for what happend at the party, they didn't even talk about it properly. WHY? (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

┬─┬ノ( º _ ºノ)
However, overall it wasn't tooooooooo bad though, I liked Mr. Keating's lessons and I think most of them can be important for life. English is my 2nd language, therefore I'm unfamiliar with English poetry so I'm also curious to see what we'll talk about it in class :)

(I don't think I want to watch the move tho)

the book assumes that you've seen the film which is obvious since the book came out in the same year but after the film.

4.75

The 4.75 scoring is solely for the storyline and it’s message. If you want an eloquently written book that’s full of beautiful writing, this is not the book for you. The writing was bland, but I was able to overlook that and just focus on the concept that was being presented

I really dislike reading about boys obsessing over girls and their looks, but this book is still fantastic! (how could it not be, when based on such a fantastic movie?). I wanted to sob, but I was really tired (sobbed in spirit).
