An entertaining and light urban fantasy with an awesome heroine, an interesting sociopath/mass murderer hero, and plenty of tension and magic. That said, it was a bit too cheesy for my taste.
Loved the characters (especially Grandma), the investigation and action scenes. Nevada/Mad Rogan duo was fun to watch, I really enjoyed their banter and overall dynamic.
However, I didn't like how descriptive the book was. Huge paragraphs after paragraphs describing cars/guns/useless and unnecessary things tired me and made me skim over them.
The ending felt rushed, the climax was underwhelming and over too quickly, I expected more from it.
All in all, while this book kept me entertained, I don’t think I’ll continue with the series.
