I have been in the BDSM community for 11 yrs. I have been collared for 5 yrs next month. I have to bring myself to believe a few things in order for this to be reasonable for me.
1) They must have talked about boundaries and negotiated kinks online for months before meeting (wish they would've said it out loud) because this never EVER happens with only a safe word and "GO!"
2) I don't like that they seem to breeding codependency due to the others' isolation. We will see where it goes as the series carries on.
3) I truly love their developing friendship and relationship! Both sides are of the utmost importance.
4) The author really captures the "sexual nerd" nature of all of us in the community. This thrills me!
5) The art is absolutely glorious!

absolutely breathtaking. the characters all felt very real with their own worries and interests, and played off each other well. the budding romance was delightful; both women involved had just the perfect amount of anxiety over things, enough to be relatable without being stressful. the sex scenes were perfectly balanced, just explicit enough to share the vibe of their bdsm relationship without bogging down the pacing. every page was filled with wonderful jokes ranging from raunchy to awkward, some of them not landing well with the other characters in a way that made them feel so very human. 100000% a delight brb while i run down to my lcbs to pick up volume two
