Although the concept of this comic might cause people to pause, especially in the face of the epicly uninformed DISASTER that is 50 shades, FEAR NOT; for this comic is a rare gem, avoiding not only the dreaded boob-and-butt pose, and while the subject is fetishistic, it never stoops to reduce the characters themselves to the subject of their fetish. They are gorgeous, well developed and very HUMAN characters who the author (Who also created the equally amazing Death Vigil) isn't afraid to make both strong and fragile, wise and foolish in equal, believable measure. While you'd think it would be nothing but an excuse to splash page some pretty impressive fetish designs, it's really not, and the emotional content may well bring tears to your eyes. Even knowing more or less where things will end up, it's a rollercoaster ride as you wonder just how everything will manage to work out, because even knowing the end, Šejić is so accomplished at his story telling that you don't 'care' that you know, you're too involved in the moment.
Highly unrealistic and fetishized BDSM comic. The topic of safety is completely brushed over. The story itself is lacking and the graphics quickly became very repetitive.

I found myself heading toward a book slump mid-read-a-thon so I picked this up based on @chelseadollingreads recommendation. I knew going in it was f/f BDSM but I wasn't expecting it to be so "cute". The characters were completely charming and I wanted to see more of their world. This is my very first comic/graphic novel so I don't have anything to compare it to but I thought the artwork was very good and I want to continue this series. My lone complaint is that it ended quicker than I thought. There was bonus materials about its history and other artwork.
