My supervisor lent me this and Volume 2 for research purposes as the woman in this graphic novel discovers BDSM with her girlfriend, there is not as much focus on that as I was expecting. The focus is on the relationships between all the characters, which is interesting but not that unusual. It is also written and illustrated by a man.

Sunstone is such a fluffy lesbian romance with bdsm. Rather just what the doctor ordered right now. BDSM play is realistic, and I loved how nervous excited the characters got. It's very cute. Definitely a romcom. It's certainly adult, but not male gaze ick in the art.
