Book 3...heavy heavy stuff going on but I was happy that Kate and Vincent's story rounded out well in the end.
I got to wrap my head around that it's not Vincent saves Kate but vice versa. It's a heroine in our midst and I'm so excited as I approach Book 3. Amazingly and pleasantly surprised to see how Kate quickly developed into the strongest character I've read all these years. It's wonderful and I am just amazed at how Vincent took on the realization of all that happened. From the shift in expectations to the realization that no one saw it coming. Kate had to rise up and lead and be the woman who no one saw coming and it is so kick-a**!!!
I'm happy to have Kate and Vincent's story to focus on this since I was a wreck on the last book with Jules, Vincent, and Kate but definitely enjoying the other supporting characters in the process now that I know Jules will have his story told at a later time.
Thank you for sharing Kate and Vincent's story...love love love them all to bits!!!

I was hardcore skimming by the end. I felt like the book was about 100 pages too long, but I finally finished the series! It was decent; nothing mind blowing or something to tell everyone about. I liked it and if you're looking for a decent and quick read for a series, I would suggest these books.
As much as I enjoyed this book, sadly, it didn't meet my expectations. I loved the first two books a lot. But I couldn't help but feel a decline towards the end. I really loved the things that happened until they went back to New York, since those parts were so awesome! But after that? Not so much. I was able to predict things that were going to happpen, and I was right. I also didn't like how the battle scene between the bardia and numa were a bit anticlimatic, especially Kate and Violette's face-off.
I was definitely expecting more things to happen in the end, but it was kind of a flop.
But I'm glad that Kate and Vincent are getting their happily ever after!
And I still love this trilogy!

I really liked how action packed this final book was but my problem was that this whole series and this book was so predictable! Right from the beginning I guessed that our main character would be the chosen one aka the champion. I also really disliked Vincent (and all the other characters too) he was just kind of gross with all his petnames and stuff... That made the romance in this series really cringy. I just didn’t feel it at all.
3.5 - not as good as #2, better than #1.
Rounded up because no love triangle.
Rounded up because no love triangle.
Violette is on her quest to eliminate all of the bardia and have the numa take over. She wants to destroy the Champion, who in a prophecy states that he will be the one to defeat the numa. Believing that Vincent is destined to become the Champion, she kidnaps him in order to obtain his powers. In a race against time, Kate and the rest of the revenants must find a way to save Vincent before it is too late.
I am so glad I had the opportunity to read and finish this series. It definitely has become one of my favorite YA series. I am sad to see it end but I am happy to see that it ended on quite a good note.
One of the things I loved about this series is how Kate has grown. She is not the same sad girl from New York City who recently lost her parents in a car accident. Kate has found a reason to live and she is surrounded by people who deeply and truly care about her. Although at times she may be afraid of what’s to come, her determination to remain strong always prevails.
I also really enjoyed the secondary characters. You really learn to love them a lot. Some of my favorite secondary characters are Charlotte and Ambrose, who since the beginning of the series, I kept rooting for them to get together. Of course, I cannot forget about Vincent, who is the ideal boyfriend that anyone would want to have. I know I do.
I just really enjoyed reading this series. I don’t have many other words to say. I don’t want to spoil a lot of the events that happen in this book to my followers in case they plan to read this series. A lot of events happen in this book that change your perspective in many ways. Many of the things that happen you don’t truly expect them to happen. I once again do have to say that I love this series a lot. I really recommend this series.

This trilogy gave me all the feels. I loved every single second of it. I loved all the characters (especially Kate and Vincent), the plot, the action. Everything.
