Lauren Asher creates such a cosy atmosphere in her books, this Christmas Novella was the perfect book to end my festive season on.
As any Novella there wasn’t a ton of detail throughout but it was a really sweet read for Christmas Day - I even kind of wish it was longer!

I really liked that even though this was a novella, it felt like we got a good sense of the characters and things weren't rushed. It wasn't overly cheesy like some holiday romcoms can be.
My December Darling is a pleasant read with a cozy holiday vibe, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression. The story is sweet and the writing smooth, yet it felt a bit predictable and didn’t stand out much from other seasonal romances. An easy, enjoyable read if you’re looking for something light, but nothing particularly memorable.

Honestly this book is perfect for the holiday season. The MMC is caring and patient. He loves building LEGO. He is hot, a bit nerdy, loves to bake and is very good at it and on top of that: his last name is Darling.
He is in my top 3 book boyfriends of 2024.
