This was a sad sweet story of 2 tortured souls left in waiting in the afterlife.
It follows their journey of healing and was incredibly sad and unbelievably sweet.
I didn't cry like I did with the first book.
Im so glad this story was written.

Lanston’s story
Writing through tears, if the first book didn’t rip my heart out this one got the job done! Only a little spice, this is more emotional thank anything else, but absolutely loved.

“I want my love to haunt you. Until the stars die—until all the water in the ocean dries and we’re all that’s left in this cruel, dark world.”
I am so broken. Lanston Nevers is such an amazing character. He deserves the world and so much more. I spent the entirety of this book absolutely lost in my own grief and wanting to just sob & embrace him for the rest of my life — I’m not even kidding, I finished my tissue box ok lmao. It’s a bittersweet feeling because I wanted his story to continue but I’m so happy to have experienced his journey as a ghost finding his way to the light.
“I hear you…Your cry for life is deafening…I see you.”
“Our minds are all so different and ill in alternate ways, yet there is a profound comfort in knowing we are not alone in it.”
“We'll banish the shadows that seek us together if we must.”
