Alright, I give in. I like the Gray Man. I think this second book did it for me because he has the loneliness vulnerability like many of us.
TW- racism, on page death, addiction
Enjoyed this book 10% less than the previous but by the end I was entertained.
Court Gentry is the realistic John Wick with the humor of Harry Dresden.
It was clear that Greaney does his research and he knows what he is talking about.
I am ready to read the next one.

Ok, so after absolutely LOVING the first book Gray Man, I really didn't like this book in comparison. I enjoyed the nonstop action and the morality quarrels, but on the whole, I *hated* that they made my Court a drug addict (I don't care what reasons they give) and I hated that they made him fall so hard for a woman who ... she's one of the most obnoxiously abhorrent characters ever and my badass anti-hero is fawning all over her and I can't decide if the author really views the traits this woman has (weak, whiny, short sighted, ignorant, whiny, impulsively thoughtless, etc) as something that is actually wanted and valued in a woman or if he just felt he needed a pathetic character to 'soften' Court after the last book, but either way, I was so very tempted to stop reading the book halfway through! If he hadn't dumped her off at the camp at the point they did, I wouldn't have finished the book! I did like the ending though and that saved it enough that I will hesitantly read the next book...
