“I got a say this to you one time, Jack, and I ain’t foolin. What I don’t know,” said Ennis, “all them things I don’t know could get you killed if I should come to know them.”
“Try this one,” said Jack, “and I’ll say it just one time. Tell you what, we could a had a good life together, a fuckin real good life. You wouldn’t do it, Ennis, so what we got now is Brokeback Mountain.”

LLORO :(

No sé que pensar, es una historia bastante interesante pero no la mejor historia o es tal vez que hay muchos saltos en el tiempo y la historia como tal se siente como fragmentos.

I'm glad that I read this short story, it's a quick and worthwhile read. Annie Proulx has a strength in describing landscapes in a way that makes me wish I was riding on horseback through some random mountain range in Wyoming- and I'm afraid of horses.

I think that the story would be more impactful if it were longer. I wish that the relationship between Jack and Ennis- as well as their individual character development- could have been explored in further depth. I haven't seen the movie, but I've been told that it accomplishes just that.

Overall, I would recommend it as a quick weekend read!
